Career

Arianna Sekeri is a Certified Information Privacy Professional, Manager and Technologist (CIPP-E, CIPM, CIPT). She is a LLM graduate in computer and communications Law from the University of London, and a MSc in Business Studies for Lawyers from the ALBA Graduate Business School. Arianna’s unique combination of legal, business and technology skills with an extensive working experience in handling legal and regulatory privacy compliance & management maters, makes her ideal as a Data Protection Officer. Arianna coheads the DPO and Privacy team and oversees the data privacy operations of the company; she also supports the implementation of multiple privacy (incl. GDPR) compliance projects for a number of multinational pharmaceuticals with European and global operations. Acting as external DPO for multiple multinationals in the pharmaceuticals industry, Arianna regularly handles data breaches, data subject requests, provides guidance on data protection impact assessments and regularly conducts privacy trainings, compliance reviews and formal audits to ensure global and regional privacy compliance across multiple jurisdictions. She also interacts and cooperates with Supervisory Authorities across Europe where necessary.

Arianna, has performed internal audits/per department for GDPR compliance to assess risks in companies with multinational exposure (in France, Germany, Spain, Austria, UK, Switzerland, Poland, Japan, US, Italy). Globally recognized as a privacy expert and a Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) by the IAPP, Arianna enjoys contributing back to the privacy industry by authoring online publications regarding various aspects of data privacy and compliance. She also volunteers for IAPP as the co-chair of the Greek KnowledgeNet Chapter. She is fluent in Greek and English and understands French and German.
