Career

During his professional career Mr. Sequeira has specialized in Corporate and Financial Law, and in Capital Markets Law, where he has developed extensive knowledge in the areas of real estate, investment and corporate finance. At our firm he is primarily engaged in deals with trust structuring, issuing negotiable securities, condominium hotels structuring, investments in social housing and liabilities restructuring, among other operations. He also has wide experience in working with the Uruguayan Central Bank regulations and in all matters related to the approvals and authorizations from this institution. Before joining our firm he was the Manager of the Legal Department at Banco Comercial S.A. , and also a Legal Counsel at Nuevo Banco Comercial S.A. Mr. Sequeira’s practice is focused on advising clients on business matters. He has been a Director at several institutions such as Visanet Uruguay and Comercial Administradora de Fondos de Inversión. He was also a Controller of the Board at Nuevo Banco Comercial S.A. Currently he is a Director at Microfinanzas del Uruguay S.A., and a Controller of the Board at Moraine S.A. (La Tahona). Pablo Sequeira has lectured and held academic positions at Universidad de la República, School of Law in the Banking Law field. PUBLICATIONS: – “Fideicomisos de Administración y Fideicomisos Financieros aplicados a las inversiones inmobiliarias”. (Administration and Financial Trusts applied in real estate investment.) – He has written several articles published in “En Obra” magazine.
