Yiannis started his career as a claims handler acting for Greek insurance companies and quickly became a fierce litigator and legal advisor in civil and commercial cases. Thanks to his long-standing experience, extensive knowledge in all civil and commercial aspects of insurance law and his profound understanding of how the insurance market operates both in Greece and internationally, he is able to sustain – for over 30 years – a selective clientele of insurers, reinsurers, global brokers and agents, financial institutions, commercial banks, as well as private corporations from other heavily regulated industries.

At PD Law Offices, he is in charge of international claims and large-scale domestic claims and also deals with regulatory compliance matters and complex commercial and corporate litigation and settlements. He also leads arbitration proceedings in cases where foreign parties and foreign jurisdictions are involved.

In 2009, Ioannis Pantelidis was appointed as Life Insurance Portfolio Supervisor for insurance companies Aspis Pronia S.A. and Commercial Value S.A., whose license was revoked by the regulatory authorities. In serving as Supervisor, Ioannis performed due diligence of insurance policies and claim forms, reviewing terms and conditions of coverage and determining the exact amount of all outstanding insurance claims.
