Rodrigo has almost 20 years working in the Corporate and M&A area and is one of Melcheds Advogados founding partners. Before to join Roberto Rached founding the firm, he has worked as an attorney and a partner at a boutique law firm in São Paulo focused in Dispute Resolution, where he started the Corporate and M&A practice until launching his own firm.

Rodrigo also worked as a foreign associate at NYC based International Law Firm Fox, Horan & Camerini LLP.

Rodrigo has a large experience in Corporate Law matters and M&A and Corporate Finance operations, having worked in more than 140 deals involving a broad range of industries and sectors, from telecom and technology to construction and banking, and international and national clients, such as multinational corporations and its directors, and also private investors.

In the last 5 years Rodrigo experienced a remarkable practice in the energy and power sector, representing clients in more than 20 M&A transactions, including some of the most important deals involving photovoltaic plant in the Country, such as the sale of 300MW solar plant project to Broofliend, and a 90MW and other 120MW solar plant projects to Atlas Renewables (an Actis Fund invested Company).

Rodrigo holds a L.L.M. in Corporate Law from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa (Insper) and he was a visitor scholar at the Fordham Law School (New York) in its Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law LL.M. Program. He also has a Specialist degree in M&A from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV-SP).
