Employment

She has been advising clients since 2005, and specialises in employment and social security law. Her other areas of specialisation are competition law, including unfair competition law, new technologies,  copyrights, intellectual property law and data protection, as well as dispute resolution. Karolina supports clients in the full spectrum of cases connected with employment law: advising in cases of employing new staff, including management and foreign candidates, and during negotiations, providing audit services and supporting clients in the process of employment restructuration, mergers and acquisitions, and dismissals, including collective redundancies. She represents clients in numerous disputes concerning employment and criminal law, unfair competition, including breaches of trade secrets and anti-corruption rules. She also advises on developing dispute strategies and during mediations. She has experience in conducting cases regarding breach of business secrets and unfair competition, including the conduct of criminal proceedings against employees.

Karolina is an expert to the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF) and an expert to the Hague University for negotiated settlements, as well as a legal expert to the Polish Chamber of Commerce.

Karolina is a Partner and head of the Employment team in Bird & Bird's Warsaw office.
