Steve is a partner in our corporate group and head of our firm wide public company takeover group. He specialises in corporate finance transactions for uk and overseas clients, principally mergers and acquisitions of public and private companies, as well as ipos and secondary fundraisings. Steve is a member of the firm's tmt sector group. Steve's recent experience includes acting for: apollo group on its £304m acquisition of bpp holdings plc by way of scheme of arrangement; dimension data holdings plc on a us$120m fundraising; dimension data holdings plc on its takeover by ntt for £2.1bn; greencore on its £113m takeover of uniq and associated £80m rights issue; greene king on its takeover of capital pubs for £70m; jlt on the £166m partial offer from jardine matheson; sulzer ag on its takeover of castle support services plc for £127m; and waterlogic plc on its aim ipo, raising £45m and valuing waterlogic at £112m. Steve spent two years on secondment at the takeover panel between 1999 and 2001 advising on numerous high profile offers both recommended and hostile. He now regularly presents and writes articles on the subject of public company takeovers in the uk and sits on the icaew corporate finance faculty committee which reviews proposed amendments to the takeover code. , Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP

Apollo Group on its £304m acquisition of BPP Holdings plc by way of scheme of arrangement; Dimension Data Holdings plc on a US$120m fundraising; Dimension Data Holdings plc on its takeover by NTT for £2.1bn; Greencore on its £113m takeover of Uniq and associated £80m rights issue; Greene King on its takeover of Capital Pubs for £70m; JLT on the £166m partial offer from Jardine Matheson; Sulzer AG on its takeover of Castle Support Services plc for £127m; and Waterlogic plc on its AIM IPO, raising £45m and valuing Waterlogic at £112m.
