Paul, a partner, helps to lead the Firm’s Medical Negligence team and is based in our Bath office. Paul’s renowned empathy for his clients combined with a keen eye for detail in complex clinical negligence claims have seen him recognised as a "Leader in his field" by Chambers UK, as a member of the Law Society’s national Clinical Negligence Panel and praised by Legal 500 UK as being "the master of all detail". Paul is also a member of the executive committee of the Society of Clinical Injury Lawyers (SCIL).

Paul’s experience informed his extensive contribution to recent legal aid reforms. Working with both houses of Parliament, Paul received nationwide recognition for his efforts and success in retaining legal aid for a group of severely disabled children. He is regularly approached for comment on local and national radio, television, and national newspapers, and has written several specialist articles on the subject of legal aid reform.

Having qualified as a solicitor in 1998, Paul’s particular expertise is in cases involving:

birth injury, including multi-million pound cerebral palsy cases where a loved one has died through suspected medical negligence delays in diagnosing and treating cancer cutting-edge medical cases including genetic brain injury.
