Position

Kate is a Principal Associate in the Commercial Litigation team. She advises both national and international commercial clients on a wide variety of commercial disputes, including contractual disputes and termination, enforcement of restrictive covenants and complex debt recovery.

Kate is well versed in forms of alternative dispute resolution including mediation. One of her more recent highlights was being a part of the team representing an international telecommunications company in arbitration proceedings in Dubai, in relation to a multi-million dollar claim against an equipment supplier.

Kate also has experience working on a variety of contentious insolvency matters and has been instructed on various cases involving antecedent transactions, misfeasance and wrongful trading claims, and claims in respect of outstanding directors’ loan accounts. In 2018, she successfully completed the Insolvency Practitioners Association’s CPI exam and obtained The Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency.

Kate has recently been identified as a 'Rising Star' in her field of Commercial Litigation by Legal 500.
