Position

Cathrine has significant experience advising various players in the oil and gas industry on a broad range of matters, including legal and commercial aspects of offshore exploration, development, production and sales, as well as M&A projects. She also works extensively with carbon storage projects. Her previous experience includes several years serving as a senior legal counsel for DEA Norge AS, an NCS oil and gas operator, and as a managing associate in the law firm Thommessen. She is recognised within "Energy: Oil and Gas" in Chambers Global and Chambers Europe, and has for several years in a row been ranked as one of Norway's up and coming lawyers within oil and gas in the Norwegian financial daily Finansavisen's lawyer ranking. She is also a "Recommended Lawyer" within oil and gas in Legal 500. Cathrine is a member of the Norwegian Bar Association's panel on Hydropower, Energy and Oil and Gas law. She has also been a member of several working groups set down by the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association in order to develop model agreements for use on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, and was inter alia part of the working group producing the latest revision of the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association's standard SPA for license transactions.
