Career

Mark started his career in 2004 with a leading Swiss private bank where he worked in Trust and Estate Services. He then became a member of the private clients team of an international law firm where he focused on inheritance matters, corporate issues and administering andliquidating trusts. He gained further expertise in cross-boarder issues when working with renown law firms in New York and Paris. He is a Student Liaison Officer with the Basel Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners STEP. Mark is a member of the parliament of the Canton of Basel-City (Grosser Rat).

Chairman with the Basel Branch of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners STEP; member of the cantonal parliament of Basel-City (Grosser Rat des Kantons Basel-Stadt).

Position

Mark's areas of expertise are establishing, managing and liquidating structures for transnational trusts and estate and succession planning. He also offers the full range of notary services, including advising on and drafting nuptial agreements, wills and corporate documents.

Education

Mark studied law at the universities of Basel and Geneva (lic. iur. 2001, Dr. iur. 2007) and is the author of a doctoral thesis on comparative trust law. He was admitted to the bar in 2003 and became a civil law notary in 2009.
