At A&O Shearman, Caroline has extensive experience in domestic and international tax planning and the US federal tax aspects of cross-border business transactions and investment structures, including in the context of private investment funds and joint ventures, corporate M&A, capital markets, cross-border financing, project finance, asset management and real estate (including REITs).

Caroline is active on matters affecting diversity, equity and inclusion with hands-on experience advising on many of our U.S. initiatives and was a recipient of the firm's US Diversity and Inclusion Champion award in 2021. She regularly advises pro bono clients and is a US hiring partner on the A&O Shearman US Recruiting Committee and is a member of the US Benefits and Pro Bono Committees.
