Position

Philip is currently retained in the following matters: acting for an employer in a procurement fraud in which there was a detailed pre-action investigation which involved accessing defendants bank accounts in secret to trace monies and then obtaining freezing injunctions; defending a fraud claim for a third party supplier accused of conspiracy to provide false invoices; advising in an international investigation into the ownership of offshore assets; assisting in relation to litigation in Guernsey and the BVI regarding off shore trust disputes; representing various companies in contractual disputes; handling various PFI disputes within the leisure, NHS and prison sectors; acting as an intervention agent for the Solicitors Regulatory Agency; assisting soldiers in various police enquiries being under taken in Northern Ireland; undertaking investigations into fraud and also to identify anonymous bloggers abusing social media sites; defamation claims; insolvency matters; coroners inquests. Devonshires are advocates of a solutions based approached. Philip was named as CEDR mediator of the year 2010 and he continues to represent clients in mediations. Devonshires regularly appear before all courts and tribunals and have considerable experience in adjudication, arbitration and ADR. It is a hands on firm with a high rate of repeat instructions.
