Career

He advised YPF S.A., Argentina’s largest oil and gas company, on numerous debt issues both in domestic and international capital markets. In addition, he advised John Deere Credit Compañía Financiera S.A. on the creation of a $ 900,000,000 notes program and on the issue of debt securities in the Argentine capital markets. Moreover, Mr. Luegmayer gave legal advice on financial matters to Wells Fargo, Standard Chartered Bank, Societé Generale, ING Bank and Deutsche Bank AG. Since 2006, he has counseled the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) on matters related to financial derivatives in Argentina. He is author of a legal opinion on netting for derivatives and repos, published by ISDA in April 2019. During 2008, he acted as international associate at the New York office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, participating in capital market, M&A, and financial derivatives transactions. He is a post-graduate course professor at Universidad Católica Argentina and Universidad Austral.
