Tony McGovern

Tony is a partner in the Corporate Department and heads up the Life Sciences Group in Eversheds Sutherland Ireland. He specialises in general corporate and commercial law, technology and intellectual property. He has a special interest in and knowledge of the Life Sciences and ICT sectors. In his career to date he has lead international teams in both the merger and demerger of Irish public companies, the listing of Irish life science and technology companies on exchanges in Dublin, London and New York as well as multiple M&A transactions over many years. On the commercial contracts side, Tony has vast experience on all areas of national and international contracts including distribution agreements, outsourcing agreements, licensing, co-development agreements, joint ventures, manufacturing agreements and partnership arrangements.With more than twenty years of practice in the area Tony is a highly regarded lawyer with a wealth of experience. His experience of providing advice to the technology sector in Ireland has seen him involved in some of the most high profile and complex transactions in the sector.
