Barbara klett (ll.M.) is a certified specialist for torts and insurance law (sba) with a wide experience in the insurance and transport sectors. Barbara provides legal advice, conducts litigation and acts as mediator in the areas of national and international commercial and contract law and international private law. Barbara’s practice areas are liability and insurance law, as well as swiss and international logistics and transport law. Barbara is mediator of the swiss bar association (sba) and of the german lawyer academia (daa).Barbara established the national claim centre of the swiss federal railways (sbb cff ffs) which she directed until 2002. Previously, she practiced law in the head office of the berne insurance (now allianz suisse) in the claim and underwriting department. Before joining eversheds sutherland, barbara was partner at kaufmann rüedi rechtsanwälte ag in lucerne.Barbara was member of the extra-parliamentary railways arbitration commission (ske) and expert auditor in the quality management system iso 9001 of the international law firm network diro until 2015. In addition, she shaped the establishment of commercial mediation at the swiss chamber of commercial mediation (sccm) of which she also was a board member. Barbara established the national claim centre of the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS) which she directed until 2002. Previously, she practiced law in the head office of the Berne Insurance (now Allianz Suisse) in the claim and underwriting department. Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Barbara was partner at Kaufmann Rüedi Rechtsanwälte AG in Lucerne.

Barbara was member of the extra-parliamentary Railways Arbitration Commission (SKE) and expert auditor in the quality management system ISO 9001 of the international law firm network DIRO until 2015. In addition, she shaped the establishment of commercial mediation at the Swiss Chamber of Commercial Mediation (SCCM) of which she also was a board member. Barbara was mentor for CAS Mediation at the Lucerne University.
