Position

Michel Abt is the co-head of FBT’s Tax Group and a member of the Banking & Finance Group. He has a longstanding experience in all Swiss tax-related issues, with particular expertise in private client’s taxation notably advising high net worth individuals on their wealth and estate planning, assisting them with multi-jurisdictional projects and counselling on specific acquisitions. He also specializes in tax disclosures. Moreover, he is a recognized expert in Swiss regulatory and tax issues relating to investors and Swiss or foreign collective investment schemes.

Tax law, in particular : Natural persons taxation (including tax engineering and wealth management, transmission and protection of assets, delocalisation et tax status) Companies and managerial taxation Property taxation (including structuration of real estate investments, and their financing) Collective investment schemes taxation Tax procedures (including unsolicited announcements and tax amnesties) Banking and financial regulations, in particular in relation to collective investments schemes (securities and real estate funds)
