Position
Eduardo heads the Spanish Simmons & Simmons employment practice, covering both contentious and non-contentious labour and employment. Eduardo specialises in advice and counsel in cross-border transactions, including issues raised in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and integrations, as well as cross-border major projects, such as tax restructurings and outsourcing. This also includes labour issues such as collective bargaining, works council elections, EWC organisation and negotiations linked to reductions in work force and collective transfers. Eduardo provides advice on Spanish employment and labour issues to clients ranging from start-up companies to multinational corporations in the pharmaceutical (Life Science), finance, automotive and shipping industries.
Education
Eduardo has been a member of the Bar Association of Madrid since 2001. Eduardo is recommended as a leading practitioner in each of the 2011/12 editions of Chambers, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers. He publishes frequently in the areas of employment and lectures on Collective Bargaining at the ISDE and UIC.
