Finance and Capital Markets

Ian is based in Walkers' Ireland office where he is a partner in the firm's Finance & Capital Markets group. Ian's principal practice areas are structured products, capital markets, fund financing, general finance and distressed investment.

Ian advises on Irish and EU legal and regulatory aspects of the establishment, financing, operation and management of Irish special purpose vehicles and other investment vehicles which acquire a broad range of asset classes (loans, mortgages, receivables, distressed assets, insurance products etc) around the world.

Ian also advises on a wide range of finance, direct lending and general corporate matters, distressed investment and other bespoke structured product transactions. Ian has acted for various US and Asian lenders on a number of complex and innovative fund financing solutions including equity bridge facilities, acquisition financings, capital call facilities, NAV based margin loans and fund linked derivative solutions.
