Career

Perry Lange represents clients in diverse antitrust matters before US courts, the US Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission, state attorneys general and Congress. He has extensive experience litigating antitrust cases, including trials and appeals, securing merger clearance, and defending state and federal investigations. He has also represented a diverse set of clients in antitrust policy matters such as congressional investigations and hearings in both the House and Senate, including in the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, and the House Energy and Commerce, Oversight and Reform, and Small Business Committees.

Mr. Lange has represented companies in the high technology, telecommunications, entertainment, automotive, retail, media, pharmaceutical, energy, manufacturing, financial services and transportation sectors.

Earlier in Mr. Lange's professional career, he worked for seven years in the United States Congress, including as a legislative assistant for a member of the Senate and a legislative director for a member of the House of Representatives. He was also a senior legislative representative for a US civil rights/civil liberties organization.

Professional Activities

Mr. Lange is a vice-chair of the ABA Antitrust Section’s Joint Conduct Committee. He is the editorial chair of the section’s handbook Intellectual Property Misuse: Licensing and Litigation, 2nd edition, editorial chair of the Restraints of Trade chapter of the 2018, 2019 and 2020 Annual Review of Antitrust Law Developments, and an editor of Joint Ventures: Antitrust Analysis of Collaborations Among Competitors, 3rd edition (forthcoming).

Mr. Lange also has an active pro bono practice in which he has represented clients such as a disabled Iraq war veteran, a small business owner, and a federal employee in civil rights and benefits matters before US courts, federal agencies and local government.
