The COVID-19 outbreak has had a considerable impact on business globally, particularly the Maritime sector.

In December 2019, the coronavirus (COVID-19) was first reported as an emerging virus in China, and in the following weeks, the virus had spread globally. Earlier this month, the WHO declared the COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic, thereby indicating that the virus will affect people across a huge geographical scale. Stock markets in most countries have suffered a slump in the last few weeks and a large number of businesses were potentially staring at a financial crunch.
