Raue comprehensively advised German Urban Air Mobility (UAM) provider Volocopter on its Series E funding round with a volume of 153 million euros. Volocopter intends to use the new the money raised to assist with the certification of Volocopter’s electric passenger air taxi and to accelerate Volocopter’s commercial launch in first cities worldwide.
The first signing of the Series E funding round was led by South Korean new investor WP Investment. In addition, Honeywell also participated for the first time. Many existing investors, including Atlantia, Whysol and btov Partners, also invested again in this financing round. Even before the latest financing round, the company had already surpassed the magic unicorn mark for startups with a valuation of around 1.5 billion euros.
Raue advised Volocopter, as in previous financing rounds, comprehensively on all aspects of the Series E financing, in particular on the corporate law, aviation law, foreign trade law and regulatory aspects of the project.
