ACTECON promotes Senior Associates Mr. Caner K. Cesit and Mr. Mustafa Ayna to Counsel, Mid-Level Associates Ms. Ozlem Basiboyuk Coskun and Mr. Alper Karafil to Senior Associate, and Ms. Cansen Erensoy to Mid-Level Associate position, effective as of January 2, 2023.
Caner K. Cesit who joined the firm in 2020, provides legal advice on all matters of competition law. He is particularly experienced in representing clients in Turkish Competition Authority’s high-profile investigations and in judicial review proceedings initiated against the decisions of the Turkish Competition Authority. Caner is also competent in competition compliance programmes.
Mustafa Ayna joined ACTECON as a legal intern following his graduation and has been with the firm for the past 6.5 years. He has notable experience in all aspects of the competition law and regulatory projects. Mustafa represents clients in merger control filings related to both domestic and cross-border transactions, in investigations initiated by the Turkish Competition Authority and in judicial review of administrative decisions. He also leads competition compliance programmes.
Ozlem Basiboyuk Coskun joined the firm in 2018 and provides legal advice to a wide range of clients on investigations initiated by the Turkish Competition Authority, merger control processes, and judicial review proceedings filed against the decisions of the Turkish Competition Authority.
Alper Karafil joined the firm in 2019. He provides legal advice on competition law, regulation, and data protection law. Alper assists clients mainly in investigations initiated by the Turkish Competition Authority, merger control related issues with comprehensive experience in Phase II review and remedy procedures as well as day-to-day competition matters. Alper also plays an active role in compliance projects conducted within the scope of the Turkish and European data protection legislation.
Cansen Erensoy joined the firm in 2021 and provides legal advice on all matters of competition law, data protection law, ethics, and compliance. She is experienced in investigations, merger control proceedings as well as consultancy on day-to-day competition and data protection matters. Cansen plays a key role in compliance programmes mainly in the fields of data protection law and ethics across a wide range of sectors.
