In a recent decision of the District Court of Limassol in the context of an action filed by a foreign entity against local Banks, regarding the request of the Applicant for disclosure of information and documents, our law firm acted for the awarded with the discovery order, Swiss company.
The Court, upon reviewing the relevant case-law and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, found that the Applicant satisfied the Norwich Pharmacal principles and approved the request for Norwich Pharmacal orders. The Court furthermore, adopted the arguments of the Applicant who has been the victim of a wrongdoing committed against it. Additionally, the court concluded inter alia, that the requested information is of vital importance for the Applicant to plead and prove its action to be filed against the actual wrongdoers, and granted the Applicant, permission to use the documents and information.
