Karolina Argyridou provides training on green loans in co-operation with the CCCI (please refer to the training which we did through KEVE)

Karolina Argyridou has provided various training sessions in co-operation with the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry on green loans, green bonds and ESG requirements applicable to financial institutions.

The participants in these trainings had the opportunity to learn about the legal aspects of green loans and green bonds, as well as the challenges that lenders and borrowers face in respect of green loans and green bonds. Among other things, the training covered the various aspects and features of the relevant finance documents used in green lending. Furthermore, in a separate training event focusing specifically on the regulatory aspects of ESG, the participants were provided with an overview of legislation which is in force as well as legislation which is expected to come into force in relation to sustainability and were provided with the timeline over which such legislation will be entering into effect so as to enable the various participants to plan ahead and prepare for the changes under the new framework applicable to them.
