Furthermore, we acted as the lead counsel to Dubai Aerospace Enterprise in connection with the leasing of one Boeing model B737-800 aircraft to EgyptAir.

Finally, the MBH Aviation team was successful in the repossession, deregistration and exportation of an aircraft from Egypt securing the asset on behalf of one of its international clients.

MBH Aviation team is currently advising on numerous transactions including the sale, leasing and delivery of aircraft on behalf of internationally renowned clients in the aviation industry in transactions that are worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

The team advising on the matters was led by Sherif El Hosseny (Partner and Head of Aviation), Aya Omar (Associate), and Malak Al Amiry (Associate). This was along with the reputable international firms such as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman and Reed Smith who were also involved with us recently in various transactions that have an Egyptian component.

Partner and Head of Aviation, Sherif El Hosseny commented “It was a pleasure working with the Clients, the international transaction counsels and our MBH’s fantastic Aviation team on these interesting and sometimes challenging transactions and tasks. I firmly believe it showcases the growth in Egypt’s tourism and hospitality sectors, the appetite of foreign entrepreneurs and businesses to do business with Egypt and the increasing confidence in the Egyptian legal system. I anticipate similar developments in the cargo industry as well. This in my view, requires the involvement of the Egyptian private sector to further enhance Egypt’s strategic positioning to become a cargo hub in the region. A remarkable juncture with promising endeavors sure to follow in the near future.”

Aya Omar (Associate) commented “it feels great to be part of such interesting transactions. These transactions underscore our team’s unwavering commitment to excellence and our ability to provide strategic legal counsel that meets the needs of our clients in a dynamic aviation industry. Looking ahead, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering exceptional service and value our clients. We’re excited about the opportunities that lie ahead as we continue to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of the aviation space. I would like to extend my and on behalf of the team our sincerest congratulations to the international counsel and clients working with us on these matters”

Malak El Amiry (Associate) commented “We’re thrilled to be a part of these significant transactions. This milestone reflects our dedication to excellence and innovation in the aviation industry. We extend our gratitude to all involved parties for their support, and we are excited to continue to soar to new heights.”
