With the sale of the remaining production and packaging business of surgical gloves, Semperit has now finalised the sale of its entire medical business to Harps Global.Binder Grösswang advised Semperit on this transaction. Previously, Binder Grösswang had already advised Semperit on the sale of the majority of its medical business to Harps Global as well as on the acquisition of RICO Group, a leading supplier of silicone injection moulding tools and producer of liquid silicone components.
The now completed exit from the glove business allows Semperit to focus entirely on implementing its growth strategy as a leading specialist for elastomer products for industrial applications.
The closing took place on 30 June 2024. The sale price (cash and debt free) amounts to EUR 7 m and includes the contract manufacturing for surgical gloves in Wimpassing and the 100% participation in the Hungarian Sempermed Kft. with its packaging site in Sopron, Hungary.
