Macdonald Henderson has advised WEEE Solutions, the independent waste electrical and electronic equipment recycler on the disposal of the company to Enva, the leading waste management and resource recovery business.
Established in 2006 and based in Linwood, Scotland, WEEE Solutions collects and recovers valuable materials from a range of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) including fridges, flat panel displays, batteries, fluorescent tubes, large domestic appliances, IT equipment and small domestic appliances. Recycling over 95% of the waste managed, WEEE Solutions was recognised at the Zero Waste Awards in 2022 as a business committed to increasing the amount of waste they reuse and recycle.
As a leading provider of waste management and resource recovery solutions, Enva operates across 34 facilities in the United Kingdom and Ireland, employing over 1600 people, managing a broad range of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials from industrial, commercial and municipal customers and create valuable products for re-use in manufacturing and energy conversion.
