Koziakov and Partners successfully defended the interests of a leading Ukrainian producer in a dispute with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine over unfair competition and the imposition of a multi-million fine.
In its 2013 decision, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine imposed a multi-million fine on leading food products producer for allegedly misleading consumers on the Ukrainian market.
The case was initiated in 2013, went through two circles of review by Ukrainian courts before it was finally resolved. The Supreme Court, in its decision of March 2025, upheld the decision of the Court of Appeal to annul the decision of the Antimonopoly Committee.
In the course of the case, the lawyers successfully applied the rules of Ukrainian competition law while implementing a comprehensive defence strategy involving industry experts and statements from the national standardisation agency.
