Lima, October 26, 2023.- Rubio Leguía Normand, a leading legal firm in Peru, reaffirms the growth of its Dispute Prevention and Resolution and Arbitration area with the appointment of Giancarlo Celis, who has been head of the Judicial Litigation and Arbitration Area , and has led important teams in these specialties, being in charge of more than 300 judicial processes including civil, administrative litigation, constitutional and arbitration, for more than 100MM dollars.
He has led the litigation practice in multinational companies such as Ambev, Anheuser Busch – InBev and Grupo Aje, at the local level, and in more than 10 countries in the Latam region as Legal Manager and Regional Legal Manager, in addition to having served as an associate international at Arent Fox LLP – New York.
He has a Master of Laws (LLM – Master of Laws) from The University of Virginia School of Law, and has been teaching for more than 9 years different courses on Procedural Law at the Faculty of Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Peru.
He is a professor of the Compliance & Compliance Culture Unit of the Master of Business Law of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, and is Executive Director of the Peruvian Compliance Institute. He has participated as a guest speaker in different national and international conferences, events and webinars on Procedural Law and Compliance.
