New Partners: Leadership and Expertise
After ten years of providing legal solutions for business development and dispute resolution, CEPD Abogados announces the promotion of Magdalena Eyzaguirre F. and Gonzalo Ugarte C. as new partners of the firm.
With a solid track record, Magdalena Eyzaguirre has demonstrated exceptional leadership at CEPD since joining in 2016, focusing her practice on key areas such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate governance, investment funds, banking and project financing, private equity, and general corporate law. A graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), she has over 11 years of experience. Before joining CEPD, she worked as an associate at Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría (PPU) and, from 2022 to 2023, as a foreign associate at Holland & Knight in Miami.
Gonzalo Ugarte, on the other hand, joined CEPD in 2022 as part of the firm’s strategic plan to create the Environmental Law practice. Gonzalo is a PUC graduate and holds a Master’s in Environmental Law from the University of Melbourne, Australia. He previously worked at PPU and the environmental boutique Moreno, Sáez & Avilés. With over 11 years of experience, Gonzalo has advised investment projects in key sectors such as energy, mining, infrastructure, agribusiness, and fisheries. His strategic and pragmatic approach has made him a reliable partner for companies developing projects in an increasingly demanding regulatory environment, optimizing client costs and timelines.
New Service Area: Environmental Law and Sectoral Regulation
With the appointment of Gonzalo Ugarte, CEPD Abogados formalizes the launch of its Environmental Law and Sectoral Regulation practice area, strengthening its comprehensive approach to project development. This new practice will work collaboratively with other strategic areas such as M&A, Natural Resources, Real Estate, and Dispute Resolution, offering tailored legal solutions aligned with current regulatory challenges.
Internal Strengthening: People Management Department
As part of its corporate growth plan, CEPD Abogados formalized its People Management Department in January with the addition of Constanza Mancilla, an organizational psychologist from the Universidad del Desarrollo and certified executive coach from PUC. Constanza brings over 15 years of experience in multinational companies in the services and mining sectors. Her role aims to enhance the firm’s talent strategy and team well-being.
With these additions and new practice areas, CEPD Abogados reaffirms its commitment to excellence and innovation, consolidating its position as a strategic ally for its clients’ success.
