The annual survey by The Straits Times and international market researcher, Statista, employs rigorous methodology to identify Singapore’s best law firms in 18 areas of legal practice. These areas range the span from arbitration to technology law. The survey is industry-wide both in its scope and span – drawing its list based on more than 11,500 recommendations from 5,906 lawyers, including in-house counsels, related professionals and clients.

Criminal Law
For 2024, Eugene Thuraisingam LLP is one of just 7 ranked firms on the Singapore’s Best Law Firms survey to attain the maximum 5-star rating. We have maintained this maximum rating for the fourth year running and for every edition of the Singapore’s Best Law Firms survey since it began in 2021.
This has been another resounding endorsement of our stellar reputation and excellence in the field of criminal defence litigation.
Highlights from the past year include complex white-collar matters such as Public Prosecutor v Soh Chee Wen and another [2023] SGHC 299, where we acted for an accused person connected with Singapore’s largest stock market manipulation ever, and Public Prosecutor v Soo Cheow Wee and another appeal [2023] SGHC 204, where the Honourable Chief Justice set out important principles on the sentencing of mentally disordered offenders. We also successfully convinced the Court of Appeal to reduce a drug courier’s death sentence to life imprisonment in Roszaidi Bin Osman v Public Prosecutor [2022] SGCA 75.
