On June 29, 2023, Migros, a cooperative union active in the retail space and Switzerland’s largest employer,
announced the next steps in its plan to bundle its supermarket business (CHF 12 bn. revenues in 2022) in a centrally governed standalone company, Migros Supermarkt AG. Migros Supermarkt AG is scheduled to start its operations on January 1, 2024.
Homburger AG is advising Migros on all corporate, tax and competition law aspects of this reorganization.
