INTEGRITES lawyers contributed to the submission of the Ukrainian Government’s response to the European Commission’s questionnaire as part of Ukraine’s screening by the European Union for the status of candidate to the membership. Its completion is expected to facilitate the official start of Ukraine’s bid to join the EU, which will hopefully be fast tracked on the heels of the full-scale russian and belorusian military aggression earlier this year.
The team working on the project pro bono was led by partner Oleh Zahnitko and included senior associate Yurii Korchev, paralegal Yuliia Kovalchuk and practice assistant Nataliia Ptashnyk.
Oleh Zahnitko, Partner:
“It’s a one in a lifetime opportunity for our team to make an input into a historic public cause of Ukraine’s stride towards the European family. We strongly believe that the accession negotiations with the EU acknowledge the role of the Ukrainian people in the security and welfare of the continent reflected in the war ongoing since 2014”.
