A Legal 500 EMEA recommended lawyer for public procurement, Jakub holds a PhD in law and specialises in public procurement and new technologies law, representing also clients (both private and public) during public procurement procedures, including appeal and complaint procedures, and cooperating with entities from the IT, infrastructure, defence, energy, medicine, pharmacy and smart cities sectors. Jakub has advised, among others, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR) and the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) in tenders for the development and maintenance of critical IT systems.

He is a Public Procurement Law Association member and a lecturer on postgraduate studies in public procurement at the WSB University in Warsaw. Jakub is fluent in Spanish, having received scholarships in Seville and Lima and worked with a renowned law firm in Madrid.

“Jakub’s joining, after having been involved in some of the largest and most complex tenders in Poland, demonstrates that we are building a team of professionals who are experts in their field. We are ready to comprehensively handle any project at all stages of the public procurement procedure. We are also expanding our offer to include the Ibero-American markets. Entrusting Jakub with both areas is not unintentional, since construction, renewable energy, technology and transport are the main Polish industries in which Spanish businesses operate” – states Piotr Kochański, Managing Partner.

“Fusing expertise in public procurement with the other fields of specialisation of Kochański & Partners, including technology, energy, infrastructure and the environment, is crucial in the context of the ongoing decarbonisation and digitalisation of the Polish economy, which will further shape its development in the years to come and is also the approach our clients expect from us. I am pleased to join the team and cooperate with the best in these sectors” – says Jakub Krysa.
