Taylor Wessing advises on PLN 900 million green financing

Taylor Wessing in Poland represented PKO Bank Polski and ICBC (Europe) in their entering into a loan agreement with TAURON Polska Energia S.A. As part of this key transaction for the Polish energy sector, the banks granted a Sustainability-Linked Loan (SLL) for a total amount of PLN 900 million (over EUR 206 million). The funds will be used to finance the Tauron Group’s renewable energy projects. The entire investment is fully compliant with the EU taxonomy, which emphasises its pro-environmental and sustainable nature.

The transaction was led by Counsel Michał Kulig, under the supervision of Partner Zbigniew Korba.
