workshop on Public procurement of
medicines: home vs. away games.
On December 6, 2016, VEGAS LEX hosted
a workshop, Public procurement of
medicines: home vs. away games, for employees of the Market Access, GR and Regulatory
Departments, strategic
development managers and lawyers of large pharmaceutical companies.
At the beginning of the workshop,
Manager of
Life sciences projects Maria Borzova commented on the general
principles of procurement and selection of the pharmaceutical supplier. The participants
examined some examples and different approaches to identifying customer needs,
and discussed the competition authorities’ perspective on evaluating tender
documentation.
Ms. Borzova also spoke about some
potential approaches to deciding on the interchangeability of medicines, about
criteria of bona fide procedure with no violations, and the acceptable wording for
the description of customer needs.
