Zaki Hashem & Partners, the legal advisor of the National Investment Charity Fund for Education

Zaki Hashem & Partners (ZH&P) acted as the Legal Advisor for the National Investment Charity Fund for Education and undertook the establishment of the Fund and obtaining the activity license, as well as drafting, discussing and reviewing of the Public Subscription Notice (PSN) with the Egyptian Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) jointly with the Fund’s manager NI Capital Holding for Financial Investments, until the day of submission and the approval issuance of FRA.

The value of the Education Fund is EGP 450 million, and it is expected that the value of the Fund will multiply within the coming three years.

The main objective of the Fund is to supplement government budgets with other sources of funding required for the development of the education system, funding training and workshops for teachers and staff in the educational system in Egypt as well as the supervisory involved in the educational process. Additionally, establishing new well-equipped schools mostly in rural areas where classrooms are usually overloaded with students due to the lack of schools.

This Fund is a collective collaboration between the Government represented in the Ministry of Planning with full support and supervision of HE Dr. Hala al-Saeed, and HE Dr. Tarek Shawki, the Minister of Education, and the Private Sector represented in NI Capital Holding for Financial Investments acting as the Fund Manager. Furthermore, the Fund shareholders are primarily comprised of reputable public and private financial institutions in cooperation with the civil society. Moreover, the board members managing the Fund are a selection of well-known influential figures in the Educational system.
