Bola Tinubu, Managing Partner, Olajide Oyewole LLP

Bola Tinubu leads the Corporate Practice and the Boardroom Counsel Practice at DLA Piper Africa, Nigeria, and has more than 30 years’ experience of assisting companies in meeting their strategic objectives.

Bola serves as a trusted advisor to boards, supporting the quality of their decision-making. She provides general corporate counsel to clients, with decades of experience of advising multi-national companies, public entities and closely-held businesses in a broad range of sectors, advising them on governance, regulatory and compliance matters. She has extensive experience advising on public company reporting obligations and assisting clients to embed good corporate governance policies and practices across their organisations.

Bola’s transactional practice includes representing strategic and financial buyers and sellers, private companies  and institutional investors in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity investments, acquisitions, divestitures, going private transactions, corporate restructuring, holding group rationalisations, and in the negotiation of complex agreements with strategic partners.

Bola is a ESG specialist, focusing on sustainability governance and Environmental, Social & Governance related risks and business opportunities pertaining to corporate governance, director duties, business ethics & anti-corruption, climate change, green initiatives, global supply chain transparency, labour and human rights, gender equity initiatives, data protection and other issues

In 2023, Bola was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Cambridge University Institute of Sustainability Leadership.

Beatrice Nyabira, Partner, IKM Advocates

Beatrice Nyabira leads Projects and Infrastructure practice at DLA Piper Africa, Kenya. She specialises in energy, infrastructure, public-private partnerships (PPPs), public procurement and government contracting. Some of the mandates in which Beatrice has been involved include: a solid waste PPP project, a geothermal power project, a coal-fired power project, several solar photovoltaic projects, two wind power projects, construction of a bridge through a PPP and the procurement of medical equipment under a managed equipment services (MES) arrangement.

Beatrice’s clients include, commercial lenders, development finance institutions (DFIs), project sponsors and developers and contracting authorities.

She is the DLA Piper Africa representative on the DLA Piper Sustainability and ESG Steerco.
