Event Report

On 11th September 2024, The Legal 500 travelled to Bogotá to celebrate the legal excellence and talent of the top in-house counsel in the country. The event, held in association with long-term partners Baker McKenzie Colombia, took place in the historic Casa Medina – Four Seasons building at the heart of the city.

Sara Maggi, Deputy Editor for The Legal 500 GC Powerlist Series, set the tone of the evening by congratulating all those featured in the list. Sara shared key insights from the interview process and highlighted how the GC Powerlist team takes pride in strengthening connections with the in-house legal community in Colombia since 2014.

Next, Alejandro Mesa, Managing Partner at Baker McKenzie Colombia, took the stage. He congratulated the powerlisters, emphasised the significance of recognising in-house excellence, and expressed his pride in supporting this initiative and event in Colombia since its inception a decade ago.

The evening continued with a networking session, where new connections and old friendships were fostered, accompanied by a delightful saxophone melody.
