The GC Powerlist Uruguay 2024 event, held in Montevideo, was a remarkable evening dedicated to celebrating the achievements of the country’s top in-house lawyers.

We’d like to express our deep gratitude to all the in-house counsel our research team had the pleasure of interacting with over the past year, highlighting how much we learned from their experiences, challenges, and what makes Uruguay such a sophisticated hub for in-house legal expertise.

Key findings from this year’s research in Uruguay emphasised the crucial role of legal departments in safeguarding organisations amid instability and crises. Among the standout themes were the importance of aligning legal strategy with business goals, continuously enhancing risk assessment and communication across departments, and maintaining flexibility in legal approaches during times of regulatory or legislative shifts.
