On November 28th, The Legal 500, in exclusive partnership with Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii, proudly unveiled the GC Powerlist: Romania 2024. The highly anticipated event took place at the elegant Restaurant Diplomat in Bucharest, gathering Romania’s most accomplished corporate lawyers to celebrate their outstanding achievements.

The evening began with a warm welcome from Francisco Castro, research editor at The Legal 500, and responsible for the publication’s development. In his opening remarks, Francisco emphasised the importance of the GC Powerlist in recognising the excellence of Romania’s in-house legal professionals. He detailed the rigorous selection process and applauded the honourees for their significant contributions to the legal field. Francisco also shared key insights from the research, spotlighting the exceptional talent of those featured in the Powerlist.

Following this, Gabriel Zbârcea, Managing Partner at Ţuca Zbârcea & Asociaţii, took the stage to extend his heartfelt congratulations to the recipients. He highlighted the pivotal role in-house lawyers play in driving legal innovation and supporting business success, paying tribute to the dedication and excellence of the honourees.

The keynote address was delivered by Dragoș Anastasiu, President of the Eurolines Group in Romania. Drawing from his vast experience as a renowned entrepreneur, Dragoș delivered an inspiring speech that resonated deeply with the audience, marking one of the evening’s highlights.

With over 140 attendees, the launch of the GC Powerlist: Romania 2024 was a resounding success. The event celebrated the best and brightest of Romania’s in-house legal community, reinforcing the Legal 500’s commitment to showcasing and supporting their invaluable contributions to the profession.
