The Legal 500 is delighted to announce that the Northern Powerhouse Awards is back for a second year. After last year’s hugely successful inaugural event in Manchester, this year’s ceremony will take place in Leeds, at the Royal Armouries Museum on Wednesday 13 March 2024.
Once again, we will be recognising the array of legal talent across the North, North West and Yorkshire & the Humber, celebrating their achievements over the past year and broadcasting this success to the Legal 500’s national and international audience.
As well as our private practice awards, we will of course be acknowledging the fantastic work being done by in-house lawyers across the region – last year’s event saw an impressive turnout from the corporate counsel community, with Manchester United, Manchester City and boohoo.com taking home awards, and once again we’ll be looking to connect both sides of the profession.
The awards are determined based on The Legal 500’s market-leading independent research for the annual directory. Winners are selected by a judging team spearheaded by The Legal 500 UK editor Georgina Stanley, deputy editor Ben Wheway and head of in-house research Joe Boswell, with the support of a 40-strong team of in-house and freelance researchers, drawing on their in-depth knowledge of the markets covered for the Legal 500’s UK guide.
