Over the last 35 years, Chile’s corporate legal sector has emerged as a truly dynamic segment of the country’s service economy. Today, this dynamism is visible not only in terms of ongoing growth and the degree of sophistication the sector has achieved, but also in its resilience in the face of a series of adverse social and political circumstances. Indeed, despite these difficulties, the Chilean legal market has emerged as one of regional relevance, a bell-weather for likely market shifts elsewhere in Latin America.
For all these reasons the Legal 500 is delighted to once again recognise the leading legal players from private practice and in-house who have contributed to the vibrancy of the Chilean market. These awards are determined based on Legal 500’s market-leading independent research for the annual directory.
Winners are selected by a judging team spearheaded by Legal 500 Latin America editor Tim Girven, head of in-house research Joe Boswell, and other editors, along with over 20 in-house and freelance researchers with in-depth knowledge of their practice areas. This is the same team responsible for the annual production of our authoritative guide, using the same evidence base. Some practice areas have stand-alone awards, while others are thematic groupings of directory practice areas.
