Saima Hanif KC of 3VB will be joined by Anthony Monaghan (director of retail and regulatory investigations at the FCA) and Miles Bake (head of legal, Bank of England) to discuss a number of recent decisions of the regulators, as well as key decisions of the Upper Tribunal and the Courts. The discussion will be followed by insights from both speakers as to the likely supervisory and enforcement trends for 2025.

2.30pm Financial markets disputes: a horizon scan
Representatives from both our financial markets disputes and derivatives and structured products teams will lead a panel session on financial markets disputes. It should be an interesting and interactive session, looking at what’s next following the wave of banking and finance and related disputes precipitated by the global financial crisis a decade and a half ago. With many countries experiencing less benign macro-economic conditions, as well as an increase in geo-political tensions and flashpoints, we will bring together both non-contentious and contentious experts to discuss the current trends that could lead to future disputes in financial markets.
