Marta Pardini, deputy superintendent of corporations of the City of Buenos Aires, Inspección General de Justicia

Ms. Marta Pardini is the current Deputy Superintendent of Corporations of the City of Buenos Aires (Inspección General de Justicia). She has an extensive and outstanding career in the field of Corporate Law.
She graduated as a lawyer from Universidad de Buenos Aires, and completed a PhD at Universidad de Valencia, Spain. She also holds an Advance Post degree in Arbitrage, and completed a Senior Executive Program at ESADE Business School. She is the author of numerous articles, papers and books, regarding corporate law, and is a permanent and visiting professor in a variety of Universities in Argentina (Universidad de Buenos Aires, ESEADE, Universidad de San Andrés, Universidad de Belgrano and Universidad de Palermo, among others).

Juan Pablo Bove, partner, Tavarone, Rovelli, Salim & Miani

 Juan Pablo is a partner at Tavarone, Rovelli, Salim & Miani. He has a 23-year long practice focusing on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, equity capital markets and both transactional and day-to-day advice for private equity funds and domestic and multinational companies. He has an extensive track record in banking, fintech, energy and retail M&A transactions.
He has a strong record in project finance transactions, specifically in renewable and thermal energy projects, as well as extensive expertise in debt capital markets and asset-backed financing transactions.

Julian Razumny, partner, Tavarone, Rovelli, Salim & Miani

Julian Razumny is a partner at Tavarone, Rovelli, Salim & Miani. He has more than 19 years’ experience in corporate and M&A, debt restructuring processes with both local and foreign creditors, strategic negotiations and complex contracts negotiation. He is an expert in antitrust filings and leads the practice at the Firm.
He graduated as a lawyer at the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2005 and completed a post-graduate course in Economy and Finance for lawyers from the Pompeu Fabra Universidad de Barcelona in 2015. He has also been distinguished by Legal 500: (i) in their “GC Powerlist: Argentina” (2017); and (ii) as “Next Generation Partner” in the area of Competition & Antitrust (2023).

Belén Arana, corporate counsel, Google

Belén Arana focuses her practice in the area of corporate law, advising Google in different countries in the region on a variety of products, including AI, Ads and YouTube.
She joined Google in 2017, and previously worked as an associate at Bomchil in the Mergers and Acquisitions practice area.
Belén Arana graduated as a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires, and completed a Specialisation in Corporate Legal Advice at the University of Buenos Aires and a Master’s Degree in Business Law at San Andres University. She teaches Civil and Commercial Contracts at the University of Buenos Aires.

P. Eugenio Aramburu, partner, PAGBAM

P. Eugenio Aramburu is a corporate lawyer and his professional practice is focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, mining law, private equity, venture capital, project finance, corporate finance and acquisition finance.
P. Eugenio Aramburu has been a partner in PAGBAM since 2007, and since 2008 he is one of the three members of PAGBAM’s Executive Committee. He was a foreign associate at Dewey Ballantine LLP (New York, USA) and he was also associated to Cuatrecasas (Madrid, Spain) as a member of the Latin American Desk, advising major European companies investing in Argentina.
Dr. Aramburu graduated as a lawyer from the Argentine Catholic University and received his Master of Laws (LLM) degree from Columbia Law School.

Marina Basavilbaso, partner, PAGBAM

Marina joined the Firm more than ten years ago, and developed her professional practice in the area of commercial law, focusing mainly on advising technology companies. She is an expert in the negotiation and drafting of complex contracts, telecommunication infrastructure and real estate projects, internet liability issues, e-commerce, software licensing and digital content, among others. Furthermore, Marina is part of PAGBAM’s Aviation Law team, which advises on contractual, regulatory and litigation matters.
Over the last few years Marina has focused her practice on international advisory and the successful coordination of interdisciplinary and experienced teams for multinational clients. She specialises in providing cross border assessment to Latin American companies and to companies from abroad who have an interest in our region.

Juan Pablo Schwencke, partner, PAGBAM Schwencke Chile

Juan Pablo Schwencke is a leading business lawyer and advisor in Chile and the region. He has lived in Santiago, Buenos Aires, Frankfurt, New York and Miami, gaining a tremendous cross-border experience blended with deep local knowledge. During his career of over 25 years, he has successfully represented clients in several M&A transactions, project financing, debt and insolvency restructuring, international litigation, arbitration and tax matters.
Juan Pablo Schwencke has been a partner of PAGBAM SCHWENCKE Chile since 2020. Prior to this, he was founding partner of Schwencke & Cia, partner of Barros Letelier & Cía. and associate lawyer of Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in the New York and Frankfurt offices. He is also a director of several companies with activities in Chile and some with regional scope. In addition, he is a permanent columnist in La Segunda, a newspaper in Chile specialised in politics and business, and has carried out academic activities at the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences of the Universidad de Chile, at the Law School of the Universidad Diego Portales and at the Business School of the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
Juan Pablo Schwencke holds a Law Degree from the Universidad de Chile, and an L.L.M. from the Columbia University Law School, New York, USA.

Cynthia Calligaro, leader, Deloitte

Currently, Cynthia is the leader of Deloitte Legal Argentina. Her focus is on corporate reorganisations and restructurings, entity reduction programs, post-merger integration processes, company establishment in Argentina, closure of branches and subsidiaries, liquidations, etc. She has extensive experience in business structuring.
As part of her experience, she also provides advice on local and international tax issues related to such transactions and operations and intervenes in tax litigation at the federal, provincial, or municipal level. She has a deep knowledge and understanding of complex tax matters.
Cynthia has over 10 years of experience advising clients investing in Argentina as well as advising multinational companies located in Argentina doing business both domestically and internationally. Her experience covers a wide range of industries.
She is also the leader of the Tax Controversy practice at Deloitte Legal Argentina and since 2020, she has been in charge of the Legal Management Consulting (LMC) practice.

Agustina Ramet, director of legal, corporate affairs and sustainability, Softys

Agustina Ramet is the current Director of Legal, Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Softys in Argentina, and has a solid track record that includes leadership roles in major multinational companies such as Philip MOrris, a position that allowed her to advise on several legal matters to the Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Chile divisions. Previously, she has advised national and multinational companies in the Capital Markets departments in leading firms such as PAGBAM and M&M Bomchil.

Agustina has a law degree from Torcuato Di Tella University, a Master’s degree in Business Law from San Andrés University, and an Executive MBA from IAE Business School, which gives her a comprehensive view of organisations and transversal knowledge to contribute to the overall strategy of the company.

Ezequiel Braun Pellegrini, CEO, Co-Funder, Brevity

Lawyer specialising in Law and Technology. Guest lecturer of the Postgraduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). Since 2022, he has been the Director of Law and Startups program at Austral University. He has worked in the corporate law area in important legal firms in Argentina since 2004. He specialised through various training programs in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Internet of Things, and the Future of Work. He trained at Singularity University in 2018 and in 2019 completed the Diploma in Law 4.0 at Austral University.

In 2021, he launched Brevity, a collaborative platform for legal management of companies that allows keeping legal information updated and available 24/7.

Nicolas Panigutti , leader of legal advisory for central areas and legal transformation, Santander

Lawyer specialising in Law and Technology. Graduated with honors from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). With training in various programs related to Legaltech, Legal Operations, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, Legal Design, and Computer Law. Speaker at the “XIX Harvard-Complutense Seminar on Business Law” at Harvard University (2023).
In 2015, he joined the Legal Advisory of Santander Argentina, holding various roles related to Real Estate, Contracts, and Human Resources. Since 2022, he has been in charge of coordinating and implementing initiatives related to Legal Operations within the legal department.
In 2023, he was part of the winners of the global competitions “Santander Wise Legal Speakers Award” and “Santander Legal Innovation Award” for his work on Legal Operations and the implementation of legaltech for contract automation.

Santiago Cornejo, legal director, BIOGENESIS BAGO

Joined in 2017 BIOGENESIS BAGO, Latam’s multinational biggest animal health pharmaceutical company. Currently leading the legal & compliance department of the company in all affiliates from LATAM (Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay and Paraguay) and other territories (Spain, China, South Korea and Middle East (KSA)).
He focuses his practice in the area of corporate law, M&A, IP and tech transfer projects as well as compliance matters with focus on governmental relations.
Holds a law degree from Universidad Austral, Argentina and an L.L.M. from Fordham University Law School, New York, USA. Certified in Ethics & Compliance (UCEMA-AAEC)
Prior to joining Biogenesis Bago, he was a foreign associate at Fox, Horan & Camerini, New York, USA, and at different international law firms in Argentina.

Paula Fernandez Pfizenmaier, head of IP & BP- legal central director, Mercado Libre

Lawyer graduated from Universidad Católica Argentina, y, with over 15 years of experience in Intellectual Property. She has been an associate and partner at important law firms in Argentina, and currently serves as the Director of Intellectual Property and Brand Protection at Mercado Libre, with a global scope. Paula is also a board member of INTA (International Trademark Association), where she participates in various committees and initiatives, including Women in LeadershIP, which aims to enhance the role of women in the industry. She is actively involved in various Chambers and Associations.
