Mochamad Kasmali, partner, Hogan Lovells DNFP
Mochamad Kasmali (Kasmali) is a Jakarta-based partner in the Hogan Lovells Corporate & Finance practice group. He is an accomplished lawyer in the energy and resources sector, with a wealth of experience and knowledge in mining, oil & gas, power, environmental, forestry, land, and employment matters.
Kasmali’s main areas of practice includes energy & natural resources – M&A and corporate matters, regulatory requirements relating to business licence and other matters, forestry and environmental matters, real estate development – land due diligence, M&A and JVA in the sector, construction-related matters and general corporate, including FDI, M&A and employment.
Before joining Hogan Lovells, Kasmali was the Managing Partner of one of the leading law firms in Jakarta. Kasmali also worked at Newmont Indonesian subsidiary companies as Senior Corporate Counsel for almost 10 years. He gained considerable commercial experience and technical expertise being involved in day-to-day mining operations, environmental and forestry issues, and employment matters.

As the associate leading on data privacy and cybersecurity matters in Hogan Lovells DNFP, Andera’s in-depth and practical understanding of Indonesia’s personal data protection law regime allows him to provide a comprehensive suite of high quality services to his clients.

Suang Wijaya, partner, Eugene Thuraisingam LLP
Suang Wijaya’s record as lead counsel includes securing an acquittal for a domestic helper accused of numerous theft charges and persuading the Court of Appeal to permit a novel application for financial relief consequential upon foreign divorce. Suang regularly advises on high-value contentious matters including shareholder and corporate disputes, fraud and asset recovery, employment disputes and professional disciplinary processes.
In 2014, Suang graduated with First Class Honours from the National University of Singapore. Drawn to the firm’s commitment to access to justice and the upholding of fundamental liberties, he joined Eugene Thuraisingam LLP. In 2018, after three years in practice, Suang became a partner of the firm.

Eugene Thuraisingam is the managing partner of Eugene Thuraisingam LLP, a Singaporean law firm specialising in international arbitrations and criminal investigations. With over two decades of experience, he is no stranger to the realm of high-value and cross-border disputes. He regularly handles international arbitrations in the Singapore International Arbitration Centre for clients in the Southeast Asia region. Most recently, Eugene was named one of Asia’s Top 15 litigators by ALB and rated as a litigation star in the practice area of white-collar crime.
In addition to his commercial practice, Eugene Thuraisingam has litigated many seminal cases involving fundamental liberties that have since found their way into Singaporean constitutional textbooks. These cases cover a wide spectrum of issues including freedom of speech, the constitutional right to counsel and the exercise of prosecutorial discretion. ETLLP has played an instrumental role in advancing novel arguments and the development of the law.
Ulfah Diah Susanti, junior expert policy analyst on personal data protection, Ministry of Communication and Informatics
Ulfah Diah Susanti holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in IT management. She is currently assigned as Policy Analyst for data protection. On several occasions, she also participated in issues surrounding Personal Data Protection and Cross border-data, including holding a multistakeholder workshop on cross-border data flow for DEWG G20 in July 2022. She actively participated in bilateral and multilateral negotiations related to PDP, such as Indonesia-Uni Emirat Arab CEPA, IEU-CEPA, IJEPA, and WTO JSI on e-commerce. She also did not miss to attend the issues surrounding PDP and CBDF in the APEC, ASEAN, and other forums.
Raditya Kosasih, chairman, Association of Indonesian Personal Data Practitioner (APPDI)
Raditya Kosasih is the Co-Founder and former Chairman of APPDI (Asosiasi Praktisi Pelindungan Data Indonesia/Indonesian Association of Data Protection Professionals). He is also currently working as Head of Governance, Data Protection and Privacy Office at GoTo Group. Kosasih previously worked for a top-tier law firm and several government agencies, such as UKP4 and BKPM. Kosasih has a Bachelor of Law from Universitas Indonesia and LLM in Law and Digital Technologies from Leiden University, The Netherlands. Kosasih is nominated as Data Privacy and Protection Lawyer of the Year 2023 from ALB South East Asia Law Awards.
