The Green Summit Denmark 2022 is the third event associated with our new Global Green Guide and will bring together leading practitioners and in-house counsel from across the country and region to discuss the legal sector’s engagement with sustainability and climate action. Panel discussions will address accelerating a green transition through corporate sustainability due diligence and explore the theme of ESG colourwashing together with challenges in corporate governance.
Speakers will discuss the role of lawyers in promoting sustainability and the most imminent issues that must be tackled. Attendees will hear about best practices as well as obstacles and challenges in achieving corporate sustainability and combatting greenwashing. The event promises high-profile speakers, plenty of time for debate and discussion on one of the most important concerns of this century, and networking drinks to end the day.

Thomas Hinrichsen, general counsel, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is a fund management company specialising in offering tailor-made investments in energy infrastructure assets globally – in particular within renewables and the greenfield segment. Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) was founded in 2012, and in just ten years, it has developed into the world’s largest fund manager of greenfield investments in green energy infrastructure. To date, CIP has raised €19bn from more than 135 international institutional investors worldwide. All CIP’s existing funds under management are classified as Article 9 or ‘dark green’ under the EU’s Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation. Future funds are expected to obtain the same classification. They are pioneers in taking their approach and methods global and in realising a profitable green energy transition based on high ESG standards, enabling a wide range of technologies including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar PV, biomass and energy-from-waste, transmission and distribution, reserve capacity and storage, and other energy assets like Power-to-X.
Maria Holst Levin, partner, Kromann Reumert
Partner Maria Holst Levin specialises in regulation of energy businesses, and M&A, and she co-heads Kromann Reumert’s ESG practice group.
Maria has been responsible for high-profile transactions in the Danish energy sector involving solar and wind energy projects, biogas, electricity supply, and district heating. She also assists clients in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, e.g., corporate PPAs and project development agreements.
Maria’s expert knowledge within the energy sector and corporate governance is valued when she advises on ESG and how corporates can and should work with ESG from a legal perspective. ESG is also one of the topics when she lecturers on one of the most prestigious board educations in Denmark equipping the participants with knowledge to make them able to create value in corporate Denmark.
Lone Wandal Mouyal, associate professor, University of Copenhagen
Dr. Lone Wandahl Mouyal is an associate professor at the Law Faculty at University of Copenhagen, where she conducts research on business law and sustainable development focusing particularly on the roles and responsibilities of corporations.
Lone Wandahl Mouyal has significant knowledge about the interactions between commercial interest and human rights and sustainable development. She has published extensively within this area and participates regularly in conferences in and outside Denmark.
As an attorney-at-law at a global law firm and as an in-house lawyer in the financial sector, she has obtained practical experience advising on a broad range of commercial issues, including integration of ESG in commercial contracts, human rights due diligence, political risk management, creating and strengthening internal governance systems, remediation and complaints-handling.
Lone Wandahl Mouyal has been awarded Crown Princess Mary’s research talent price, Sapère Aude, for her research on sustainable development in the Arctic.
Robert Kirstejn Schmidt, head of sustainability, Nuuday
Robert Kirstejn Schmidt is an sustainability expert with a demonstrated history of work related to sustainable business in various industries. He has extensive experience with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), communication and leadership. As a former consultant, Robert has assisted more than 100 SME’s in formulating and executing sustainability strategies. “I have a network approach in working with sustainability. By bridging businesses, public institutions and organisations we can achieve so much more and more rapidly than solving issues and addressing challenges by ourselves.”
Robert is Head of Sustainability in Nuuday – the largest Telco in Denmark. Nuuday has set ambitious targets on reduction in climate emissions; net zero in scope 1 & 2 in 2028 and net zero in scope 3 including the entire supply chain in 2030, and the goals are approved by SBTi. With – amongst other ratings and certifications – a EcoVadis platinum Nuuday shows, that a sustainable approach in the telco business is achievable.
Susan Korsholm Høj, legal counsel, CataCap Management
Susan joined CataCap 1.5 years ago and is responsible for both legal matters and implementation and development of CataCap’s recent ESG strategy. CataCap’s ESG strategy serves as guidance for CataCap’s role as an investor across the full investment lifecycle covering acquisition, ownership, exit, and reporting. Susan is handling crosscutting elements and ensures ESG is integrated throughout the investment lifecycle.
CataCap is not an ordinary private equity firm. CataCap exists to generate returns by identifying unique people and businesses and growing together for a lasting impact. CataCap manages Danish buyout funds principally targeting control buyout investments in an underserved segment of the predominantly Danish lower-middle market. CataCap’s next fund is classified as Article 8 or “light green” under the SFDR.
Prior to joining CataCap, Susan worked with Kromann Reumert for more than 8 years within the areas of financial regulation and asset management, employment and labour law, corporate law and M&A as well as corporate compliance and internal investigations.
Marissa Saretsky, VP, global sustainability, Pandora
Marissa has 14 years experience addressing corporate sustainability issues for the private sector through policy and strategy development, operations, stakeholder engagement and advocacy, performance tracking, communications and reporting. At Pandora, she is responsible for driving the development and implementation of Pandora’s global sustainability strategy, covering the company’s full value chain. This includes setting ambitious climate and energy, human rights, responsible sourcing, and product circularity targets and overseeing the programs, projects and relevant teams designed to achieve them.
Kristjan Jespersen, associate professor, Copenhagen Business School
Kristjan Jespersen is an Associate Professor in Sustainable Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS). Kristjan has been named as the Lead Author in defining CBS’ Sustainability Vision and Mission for 2018 and is CBS’ Academic Director for Campus Sustainability. As a primary area of focus, he studies the rise of ESG and specializes in developing ESG indicators for the financial sector. Kristjan is also the principal investigator on a number of smart agriculture and conservation finance research grants.
Trine Pondal, head of sustainability, Flying Tiger Copenhagen
Trine Pondal is Head of Sustainability and Social Responsibility in Flying Tiger Copenhagen.
Coming from Pandora, Trine started a green journey for Flying Tiger Copenhagen in 2019, setting circular economy targets which are slowly changing the offering in stores. With the ambition to become a green frontrunner in the retail industry, Flying Tiger Copenhagen had their climate targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative in 2021 and is engaging in a heavily data driven sustainability journey.
With a master’s degree in European Ethnology, a background in communication & training and most lately a Post Graduate Certificate in Circular Economy Trine has a wide variation of experience and skills as foundation for her work with the green transition.
Olivia Hart, senior researcher, Legal 500
Olivia Hart is a Senior Researcher for The Legal 500’s Global Green Guide, which puts a spotlight on the legal sector’s contribution to a green transition. She joined The Legal 500 in 2020 as a Data Analyst and shifted to the editorial side of the business in 2021 to assist with the launch of the Green Guide. She was promoted to Senior Researcher in 2022. Outside of her work at The Legal 500, she has an academic background in sustainability and is currently completing a MSC in Global Migration at UCL.
