Kellie Blyth, partner, Addleshaw Goddard

Kellie is an experienced technology and privacy lawyer, whose practice specialises in advising businesses on their strategic IT projects and on their compliance with information law. Operating across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region, she also works with clients to develop, commercialise and implement digital services and technology-based offerings whilst managing regulatory risks. Kellie’s clients include some of the world’s best known and most innovative blue chips, multi-national businesses and public institutions. She has a particular interest in the healthcare and life sciences, technology and financial services sectors.

Kerry Westland, head of innovation & legal technology, Addleshaw Goddard

Kerry is the Head of the Innovation Group at Addleshaw Goddard and is responsible for the Innovation & Legal Technology, Addleshaw Goddard Consulting and Research & Knowledge Services Teams focusing on delivering new and innovative services lines to client. The Innovation Group at Addleshaw Goddard helps to support General Counsel and Heads of Legal Operations and their teams to optimise their use of legal tech and maximise their return on investment. As well as working with lawyers across Addleshaw Goddard to help deliver more imagination and more impact to their clients, Kerry’s practice includes working collaboratively alongside General Counsel and Legal Operations teams to: cut through the hype to understand the best legal technology options for their teams; align their technology strategy with their legal operations strategy and goals; make better use of products they have already purchased; and–make legal technology deliver impact for them.

Cameron Purse, UK editor, The Legal 500

Cameron is the UK editor of the Legal500. Cameron became a researcher following a year spent working within the client relationship team, working his way up the role of UK editor after five years on the team. Prior to joining the company, he worked freelance in radio, television, and podcast production for the BBC and The Economist, as well as holding down various copywriting and ghostwriting jobs. He graduated from the University of Southampton with a first-class degree in English Literature.

Robin Hickman, head of region for the Middle East, Addleshaw Goddard

Robin Hickman is the Head of Region in Addleshaw Goddard for the Middle East. He is part of our multi award winning Middle East finance practice and is based in our Dubai office. He has been practising in the Middle East for over 15 years. He specialises in conventional and Sharia compliant finance and debt restructuring matters and advises local and international banks, government / semi-government entities and blue-chip enterprises across a full spectrum of industries, including construction, infrastructure, energy and utilities, renewables and TMT.

 

Robin has worked on many of the region’s largest and most complex financings and high profile debt restructurings. Robin has been ranked as a Leading Individual by Chambers & Partners for each of the last 8 years and is ranked in three categories (Banking & Finance: UAE (Band 2); Insolvency and Restructuring: UAE (Spotlight Table / Band 1), Banking & Finance: Qatar (Expert based abroad)). Katie Whang, legal counsel, Johnson & Johnson

Katie Whang is a legal counsel for the Medtech division of Johnson & Johnson. She provides commercial and corporate legal advice for Johnson & Johnson’s Middle East and Africa businesses, as well as advising on matters related to trade sanction laws as it relates to the Middle East region.
