On August 28th , The Legal 500 and Carey came together to honour Chile’s premier in-house counsel at our annual GC Powerlist: Chile 2024 event.

Sara Maggi, Deputy Editor for The Legal 500 GC Powerlist Series, kicked off the evening with a warm welcome and an insightful overview of the key trends uncovered during the research process. She highlighted how in-house lawyers are not just driving efficiency and enhancing team performance but are also at the forefront of innovation, risk management, and crisis resilience. Sara also shared compelling quotes from interviews that underscored the growing emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and sustainability among Chile’s in-house legal professionals.

Jaime Carey, Senior Partner at Carey, took the stage next to deliver a heartfelt congratulatory address, lauding the remarkable progress and accomplishments of Chile’s in-house legal sector. He commended the distinguished individuals in attendance as the very embodiment of excellence within the Chilean legal landscape. Jaime then invited guests to enjoy an evening dedicated to networking and idea-sharing.
