On September 13th, The Legal 500, in partnership with Pellerano & Herrera, were incredibly proud to release the GC Powerlist: Dominican Republic 2023. The highly anticipated launch event took place at the stunning InterContinental, located in Santo Domingo, where esteemed in-house counsel came together to celebrate their achievements.  

Setting the tone for the evening was Elena Lewis, The Legal 500’s editorial lead for the GC Powerlist: Dominican Republic 2023, who highlighted the rigorous selection process and celebrated the recipients for their significant contributions to the legal field, particularly for their spearheading of many relevant topics, including the implementation of a digital transformation in the region. 

Following Elena’s speech, the managing partner of Pellerano & Herrera, Ricardo Pellerano, highlighted the importance of recognising and honouring the most outstanding in-house lawyers in the country. 

After his remarks, Elena introduced the keynote speaker for the event, Yissel De León Burgos Corporate legal manager at AERODOM, who addressed her peers, highlighting the ever-evolving role of the in-house counsel in the Dominican Republic. 

Overall, the launch event of the GC Powerlist: Dominican Republic 2023 was a resounding success, creating an atmosphere of recognition and fellowship, and we eagerly anticipate our return to the Dominican Republic.
